Date Adopted: August 14, 2025
Date Revised: September 8, 2025

A. Purpose

This policy is established in response to Colorado HB22-1049 and ensures that Alandi Ayurveda Gurukula complies fully with the law regarding the release of transcripts, diplomas, and certificates.

B. Scope

This policy applies to all current and former students of Alandi Ayurveda Gurukula, excluding foreign students as defined in C.R.S. 23-1-113.5, who may have an outstanding balance for tuition or other financial aid funds owed to the school and who request a transcript, diploma, or certificate.

C. Policy

1. General Entitlement

Transcripts
All students are entitled to receive transcripts, whether or not they have graduated. One official transcript is provided free of charge upon graduation. Additional copies may be requested for a $10 administrative fee.

Diplomas and Certificates
Students will not receive a Program Certificate of Completion or Diploma until they have successfully completed all 4,312 hours of the Master Ayurvedic Practitioner program (Alandi’s only approved program). Replacement diplomas may be requested for $25.

2. Financial Holds

  • Students may be subject to a financial hold if tuition or financial aid funds remain unpaid for more than 30 days or if the outstanding balance exceeds $500.

  • However, in accordance with HB22-1049, transcripts, diplomas, or certificates may not be withheld if the request falls under one of the exemptions below.

  • If a balance exceeds $1,500 or remains unpaid for more than 90 days, Alandi reserves the right to assign the debt to a third-party collection agency. Students will be notified in writing before such action is taken.

3. Exemptions
Transcripts, diplomas, or certificates will be released if the student demonstrates that the request is needed for:

  • A job application

  • Transfer to another postsecondary institution

  • Application for state, federal, or institutional financial aid

  • Pursuit of opportunities in the military or national guard

  • Pursuit of other postsecondary opportunities

4. Process and Procedure for Exemptions

  • Students must provide documentation to verify that their request qualifies under one of the exemptions.

  • The school will review the request and respond within seven business days.

  • If the request is denied, the student will receive a written explanation of the denial within seven business days.

5. Diplomas and Certificates

  • Diplomas and certificates are normally issued at graduation ceremonies without charge.

  • Students are expected to complete all academic requirements in order to be awarded a diploma or certificate.

  • However, in compliance with HB22-1049, diplomas and certificates will not be withheld for outstanding tuition balances if a valid exemption applies.

6. Payment Plans

  • Students with outstanding balances may establish a payment plan.

  • To request a payment plan, please contact: info@alandiashram.org or 303-786-7437.

7. Registration Holds

  • A registration hold may be placed when a student’s unpaid balance exceeds $500 or remains unpaid for more than 30 days.

  • A registration hold prevents enrollment in new courses until payment arrangements are made.

Complaints regarding HB22-1049 compliance may be submitted to the Colorado Student Loan Ombudsperson at CSLSA@coag.gov.
